Sandy Brown
President
When Sandy moved to Shepherdstown in 2013, the first organization she joined was PVAS, becoming a WV Master Naturalist, taking Birding 101, working with the 4th grade Watershed program, RFTB and more. This led her to becoming an environmental educator with the Alice Ferguson Foundation (AFF) and NPS, working to cultivate the environmental stewards of tomorrow. Prior to moving to Shepherdstown, she had a career in government relations, working for the Senate Majority Leader, serving as the Vice President of Government Affairs at Teach For America (TFA) and the Vice President of Government Affairs at Amtrak. Today you can find her coaching talented leaders from under-represented backgrounds into impactful government relations or policy roles, and biking, hiking, kayaking or skijoring as often as she can!
