World Wetlands Day: An Evening of Environmental Literature and Art at Cool Spring Preserve

Join for an evening of Environmental Literature and Art at Cool Spring Preserve/Case Nature Center!
PVAS Host: AmeriCorps service member Will O’Boyle
Free and open to the public. All ages are welcome, though youth must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required
Celebrate World Wetlands Day with us at this special indoor evening event at one of our unique preserves. The celebration will include PVAS members and Master Naturalists sharing literature and art that has been influential to them in their journey as environmentalists. You will also be able to enjoy visiting the Case Nature Center, home of our wetland Animal Ambassadors, natural science exhibits, and reading nook. The night will start with some selected readings from our volunteers followed by time for connections and exploration at the Case Nature Center.

About our Host: Will has served at Potomac Valley Audubon Society since May 2023. Prior to this, he worked as an urban forestry surveyor and as a herbarium technician. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University in Literature and Letters, minoring in Forestry and Biology. He is looking forward to storytelling during family programs as well as fostering further love for the outdoors. Will is especially excited to learn and serve with PVAS’s staff and volunteers during the 2024 service year. Will is relatively new to the area (Native to Western Maryland) and is always looking for cool new places to hike and camp.
