Enjoy an evening learning about and searching for owls with owl expert October Greenfield. The evening will start at Cool Spring’s downstairs classroom, where we will discuss unique adaptations of owls and learn the calls of different species. 

The hike will cover up to 1 mile over gentle hills and uneven terrain. We will listen and look for Eastern Screech Owls, Great Horned Owls, and Barred Owls. Afterwards, we will warm up by a campfire and roast marshmallows for s’mores. 

Please dress warmly, wear sturdy shoes, and bring drinking water and a flashlight. Binoculars are also encouraged if you have them. A few pairs will be available for those that need them.

The fee is $5 per person. Pre-registration is required. Children 3 and under are free of charge.
