United Way Day of Caring
Tuesday, September 10, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
In collaboration with the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle, PVAS will be hosting the Day of Caring at two of our spectacular nature preserves!
At Cool Spring we will have groups installing new trail signs throughout the preserve, staining the gazebo overlooking the meadow and providing care to young trees in the riparian buffer. We are also seeking a carpenter to repair our barn doors.
At Yankauer we will have teams taking care of and expanding our pollinator gardens, staining the benches throughout the preserve and cleaning the interpretive signs.
Everyone is welcome! No experience necessary. If you have a little energy and interest we have a task for you!
Lunch and a t-shirt are provided for volunteers. Please bring a refillable water bottle as we have extra water for refills during the day. Gloves and tools are available, but you are welcome to bring your own. (Just please make sure they are marked with your name.)
Can’t volunteer? Consider making a donation towards the supplies necessary to complete the projects!
Contact KC Walters with any questions or concerns. (304) 283-7319 or katelyn@potomacaudubon.org
