Who: Entering grades 6-8

When: Monday-Friday • 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Where: Cool Spring Preserve (1469 Lloyd Road, Charles Town, WV 25414)

Spend the week at Cool Spring Preserve learning how scientists use their ‘Tools of the Trade.’ You’ll conduct stream monitoring, practice birding techniques, and collect scientific data through hands-on citizen science activities using cell phones and other technology. You’ll also learn about wildlife management techniques while practicing archery skills. You’ll even have the chance to perfect your camp craft skills such as fire building, lashing and knot tying, and whittling.

After care is available for this camp session from 3:00-5:00 p.m. As you’ll see below, payment options reflect a week’s worth of after care. If you’d like to place your child in after care only on certain days, please notify and pay (cash or check) the Camp Director when dropping your camper off in the morning.
