This event is free and open to the public.  Registration is required and limited to 12 participants.

In celebration of the Summer Solstice, join us at Cool Spring Preserve for our annual solstice gathering. We’ll be experimenting with both words and images to inspire our nature journal habits while we explore our beloved creek and rolling trails.

Summer is splendid, no matter the weather, so dress for the weather, and tune in to your senses. Come with your nature journal supplies (pencil and blank book, other supplies welcome), a chair if you would like, and water. We’ll meet on the back deck of the Case Nature Center to share prompts and say hello, meander the trails and fields at our own pace, and eventually return again to the back deck to add details to our work and share inspiration. Whether you’ve been keeping journals for years, or a budding beginner, we welcome you to come out and put pencil to paper in the company of other enthusiasts.
