Rolling Ridge Conservancy Bird Walk
Tuesday, July 9 @ 7:30 am - 10:30 am
Join Bill Telfair for a morning bird walk at Rolling Ridge Conservancy!
PVAS Host: Bill Telfair
Free and open to the public. For anyone age 8 or older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and limited to 15 participants.
Explore the habitat and the bird life with others on the gorgeous trails of Rolling Ridge Conservancy, the largest privately-owned wilderness area near Washington DC and along the entire Appalachian Trail. Anyone with an interest in birding is welcome to join trip leaders Bill and Scot as they explore some of the 1500 acres of protected woodlands. These walks are held on the second Tuesday of every month.
Rolling Ridge Conservancy welcomes donations, which can either be accepted on the morning of the walk or through their website (https://www.rollingridgeconservancy.org/donate). Please ask Bill how your donations will help foster their mission.
The trails wind through the woods with some hilly, rocky sections that could be slippery when wet. The group tends to walk at a slow pace and typically there is very little elevation gain/loss on these walks.
Please wear sturdy walking shoes and bring along drinking water. Walking poles are encouraged. Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them.
If you are having trouble finding the meeting spot on the morning of the walk, please feel free to contact trip leader Bill Telfair for directions. Bill’s number is 408-966-8895.
