The Potomac Valley Audubon Society welcomes Clint Hogbin as he presents, “Recycling Trends in Our Area”.
Join PVAS for their (Virtual) March Monthly Program where Clint Hogbin will talk about the trends in the Berkeley County recycling and litter control programs and discuss Entsorga; According to the company’s website they are “the nation’s first resource recovery facility in the United States to utilize a mechanical biological treatment process. The facility recovers biomass, plastics, and other carbon-based materials from the mixed municipal solid waste (MSW) stream and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) non-hazardous secondary materials and converts them into an EPA-recognized renewable fuel. During the process recyclable commodities such as metals are extracted and recovered in conjunction with Berkeley County’s current recycling program.”
Mr. Hogbin is the Chairman of the Berkeley County Solid Waste Authority and has been the Volunteer Program Manager of the Berkeley County Recycling and Litter Control Programs for over 26 years. He is an 8th Generation Eastern Panhandle resident and a lifetime Berkeley County resident.
The Monthly Program will be held via Zoom.
