Pollinator Day: Monarch Presentation & Tagging Demonstation

The event is free and open to the public. Come learn about the Monarch butterfly’s life cycle and see live caterpillars and chrysalids!
The Monarch Alliance – a program of the Potomac Valley Audubon Society – and Cacapon Resort State Park are hosting a Monarch Presentation and Tagging Demonstration to celebrate Pollinator Day.
This family friendly event is a wonderful opportunity to try your hand at netting, tagging, and releasing monarchs. This event is part of “Pollinator Weekend,” happening Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17 at Cacapon. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather and bring along insect repellent and sunscreen.
