Jefferson County Nature in the Neighborhood

Join the Potomac Valley Audubon Society and the Charles Town Library for one or more free drop-in nature programs at Evitts Run park at 504 W. Liberty St in Charles Town August 8-11. There will be story-time, crafts, games and more. These programs will last approximately one hour and are best for ages 3 and up. No registration is necessary.
- Monday, August 8th-Nighttime Neighbors.
Learn about “Awesome Opossums” at 9am or 12:30pm and “Racoons” at 10am or 1:30pm.
- Tuesday, August 9th-Daytime Dwellers.
Learn about “Slithering Snakes” at 9am or 12:30pm and “Brilliant Birds” at 10am or 1:30pm.
- Wednesday, August 10th-Who is in the Garden?
Get the “Buzz on Bees” at 9am or 12:30pm and “Wiggly Worms” at 10am or 1:30pm.
- Thursday, August 11th-Stream Science.
Meet some “Creek Critters” at 9am and 12:30pm and become a “Beaver Believer” at 10am or 1:30pm.
This program is presented in partnership with Potomac Valley Audubon Society and the Charles Town Library.
