Natural History Workshop: Nature Photography
Saturday, November 3, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Workshop Instructor: Wil Hershberger, accomplished nature photographer
Registration for the Nature Photography Workshop is required. Please register below.
This workshop is tailored for the beginner that has used a camera at least a few times, but it is also useful for more experienced shooters. We will cover all aspects of nature photography with classroom and outdoor field sessions. Topics of discussion will include light, composition, equipment, workflow, and how to find images.
Everyone should bring a camera, preferably a DSLR or advanced point and shoot to the course and lenses, tripod and flash (if you have them). We will be reviewing images either on their camera or, if you bring your laptop, we can look at them on there.
Class size will be limited to 12 participants. The course is open to people of all ages but children younger than 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
The workshop will take a break for lunch and people should bring along a bag lunch. There is a refrigerator and microwave that will be available for participants.
Mr. Hershberger, who lives in Hedgesville, is one of the area’s leading naturalists.
He has been photographing and recording the natural world for more than a decade and his work has been published in magazines, calendars, and books.
His recordings of birds, frogs and insects are archived at the Macaulay Library of Natural Sounds at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.
His website can be found at www.natureimagesandsounds.com
*All registration fees are non-refundable. PVAS reserves the right to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen issues. In this case, a full refund will be given.
