Natural History Workshop: Art to Earth; An Ecopsychology Workshop

Join Susan Loonsk for this unique workshop where participants will be introduced to Ecopsychology concepts through experiencing nature and art. Students will gain a basic understanding of some of the concepts of Ecopsychology and how to connect self to nature through expressive activities.
Participants can expect an overview of what is Ecopsychology, a guided grounding meditation, an earth walk and sensory inventory as well as an indoor art project.
This workshop is open to the public and no prior meditation or art making experience is needed. However registration is required.
Art supplies provided. Participants may bring any favorite water-based paints, or drawing materials of their own if they wish.
This workshop is being held at Cool Spring Preserve in the downstairs classroom as well as on the trails of the preserve. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes. Bring along drinking water, sunscreen and insect repellent.
