Monarch Discovery Days: Monarch Tagging Demonstration at the Discovery Station
Saturday, September 15, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
September is the month that most monarchs will migrate through our region on the way to Mexico where they will spend the winter. The Monarch Alliance, a program of the Potomac Valley Audubon Society, will be sponsoring activities during the month of September to celebrate this special event.
The Monarch Alliance is celebrating this migration with a monarch tagging demonstration at the Discovery Station, Hagerstown, MD. Meet at the monarch rearing cage in the front of the museum. Learn how and why we tag monarch butterflies.
This educational program is free with price of admission to the museum. Discovery Station charges an admission fee of $6 for ages 4-17 and $7 for Adults. Call the Discovery Station for more information about admission 301-790-0076.
