Forage the Forest for a Delicious Natural Dinner!
PVAS Hosts: Laurel Schwartz and Ellie George
Join our youth program team members for a Forest Foraging Dinner at Cool Spring Preserve. We’ll hunt for wild edibles, including onion grass, garlic mustard, cattail, red bud flowers, and dandelions. While out on the trails, your family will learn the universal edibility test, which is a life-saving method that survivalists use to test whether or not an unknown wild food is safe to eat. After we return with the wild edibles we have harvested from the preserve, we will try out a couple of delicious recipes using our finds!
