Discovery Camp: Rocks n’ Reptiles
Monday, July 28 @ 9:00 am - Friday, August 1 @ 3:00 pm
Rocks n’ Reptiles (entering grades 1-6)
This year we are combining two of our most popular topics to investigate at camp, rocks and reptiles! We will spend the week exploring and learning about Rocks n’ Reptiles through many fun, hands-on activities. To investigate rocks, campers will learn about the geology of our local karst region by hearing from a geology expert, going on hikes to discover natural rock formations, investigating WV fossils to learn what lived here in the past, and conducting rock experiments to understand how caves form. To explore our passion for reptiles, we will learn what makes a reptile a reptile, take a hike in one of our preserves to observe native reptiles in the wild, and meet our reptile care team! Campers will even have a chance to meet our reptile Animal Ambassadors and participate in their feeding time. Join us for all kinds of rockin’ fun!
