Christmas Bird Count – Charles Town, WV
Sunday, December 15, 2019
Christmas Bird Counts have been an Audubon Society tradition for over 100 years!
This event is free and open to the public. Registration information is below.
There are many ways you can participate:
- Individually – If you live in the Charles Town area, you may count birds at your home feeders and report the results. Please click here to check the maps to see if you are in the Charles Town circle. If so, then print the Charles Town tally sheet and keep a tally of your feeder birds on December 15. Your completed tally sheet can be mailed to PVAS PO Box 578 Shepherdstown, WV 25443 or email it bobdean52@gmail.com.
- In a Group – You may also like taking a more active role by joining a team of birders and heading out in the fields. No experience necessary! This is a great opportunity for beginners to work alongside seasoned birders. After the Charles Town counts, we will be gathering at Cool Spring Preserve for dinner provided by Gary Sylvester.
