Botany and Wildflower Identification Workshop

Join Wanda Miller for an evening of learning about wildflower anatomy and identification!
PVAS Host: Potomac Valley Master Naturalist Wanda Miller
$5/person (PVAS members receive a 10% discount). This program is recommended for ages 12 and older. Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and limited to 20 participants.
PVMN Continuing Education Eligible
In this hour-long evening classroom session, you can learn about basic plant anatomy and botany vocabulary. Participants will learn how to use field guides to identify plants and will become familiar with various types of field guides. We will also learn about the types of plants you may be likely to encounter during this upcoming spring ephemeral wildflower season and where they are likely to be found!
This session will take place at the Case Nature Center at Cool Spring Preserve, which is wheelchair accessible. Seating is available for most if not all of this session.
About our Host: Wanda is a Potomac Valley Master Naturalist. She is a retired high school biology teacher & lifelong resident of Berkeley County. She grew up on a small family farm and spent lots of time outdoors observing the local plants and animals.
