Join us for a tour of the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center! After meeting in the parking lot, we will divide into two groups of up to 25 people, each following a different route through the facility. This guided tour will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the wildlife rehabilitation center, including a viewing of the surgery room and a visit to the bird room, which houses birds in recovery and fledgling birds in the spring. You’ll also have the chance to meet some of the center’s ambassador animals and learn about their important role in wildlife education. Please note that masks may be required in certain areas.
- Walking Distance: Less than 1/2 mile.
- Pace/Activities: Leisurely (meandering, many breaks to stop and observe)
- Restroom: Restrooms are available for this program.
- Parking/Where to Meet: Meet in the parking at Blue Ridge Wildlife Center. We encourage you to organize carpooling with any friends you know are attending.
- What to Bring: Due to the avian flu, please bring a mask if you have one for the indoor part of the tour.
Registration will remain open until the start of the program.
