Bird Walk at the Monarch Discovery Day
Saturday, September 14, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Bird Walk Leaders: Chuck Parker and Wade Snyder
Join PVAS’s Bird Walk in conjunction with Monarch Discovery Day at the Briggs Animal Adoption Center. After the 10:00 a.m. walk, feel free to stay and participate in the various activities at Monarch Discovery Day.
The Monarch Discovery Bird Walk is free and open to the public, however registration is encouraged.
This bird walk is an excellent opportunity for novice and intermediate birders to see the more common species with a guide. Possible birds include migrants passing through the area, such as hawks and the American Kestrel.
Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes and bring along drinking water. It is also recommended to wear sunscreen and insect repellent.
Children are welcome to attend with an adult. Binoculars will be available for use if needed.
Please contact Krista Hawley at adultprograms@potomacaudubon.org or 681-252-1387 with any questions you may have.
