Friday, May 10, 2019 @ 6:30 am - 9:30 am
Trip Leader: Deb Hale
This bird walk is free and open to the public, however registration is requested. Please register below.
Join Deb Hale on her early morning bird walk at Murphy Farm, Harper’s Ferry National Park.
The main focus of this bird walk will be on migrating warblers, but also newly arriving summer breeding birds including cuckoos and flycatchers.
This event is free and open to anyone with an interest, regardless of their birding skills, however registration is strongly encouraged.
Participants should plan to meet at the Park’s main Visitor’s Center off Route 340. Please note that the Park Service will charge a fee of $15 per vehicle to enter the Park unless you have an annual Park pass or a NPS Golden Eagle pass.
This trip will involve about two miles of moderate hiking, mostly through fields and last about three hours. Participants should dress appropriately for the prevailing weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring along drinking water.
Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them.
Please contact trip leader Deb Hale at 304-535-1528 or debhale72@gmail.com with any questions you may have.
