Berkeley County Nature in the Neighborhood

Join the Potomac Valley Audubon Society for one or more free drop-in nature programs at Ambrose Park Children’s Garden, 25404 Mall Dr in Martinsburg on August 8-11. There will be story-time, crafts, games and more. Most programs will last about one hour and are best for ages 3 and up.
- Monday, August 8th
There will be informal activities between 9am-2pm. You may drop in at any time to explore the garden and enjoy a variety of activity stations.
- Tuesday, August 9th
The theme will be Daytime Dwellers. Learn about “Slithering Snakes” at 9am or 12:30pm and “Garden Helpers: Ladybugs!” at 10am or 1:30pm.
- Wednesday, August 10th
Enjoy “We are the Gardeners!” at 9am or 12:30pm and “Garden Helpers: Pollinators” at 10am or 1:30pm.
- Thursday, August 11th
Learn why “Plants Can’t Sit Still” at 9am or 12:30pm and about “Wiggly Worms” at 10am and 1:30pm.
This program is presented as a partnership between Potomac Valley Audubon Society and Martinsburg-Berkeley Parks and Recreation. Funding for this free program is made possible by a grant from the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation.
