Saturday, April 4, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
This event has been cancelled in an effort to stop the spread of Covid-19. We are working to reschedule for sometime in the fall.
Instructor: Liz Goins
PVMN Assistant: Joy Bridy
PVMN Continuing Education Eligible
This book binding workshop is open to the public, regardless of your experience; however, registration is required. Please register below.
Join the Field Journal Group in a special workshop to make a hand-bound field journal with Charles Town book artist, Liz Goins.
Each student will create a 5” x 7” unique field journal with a pocket to collect items from nature.
Students have the option to print on paper with natural objects while making their covers and inside pages. A traditional Japanese stab binding method will be used to finish the books.
Students are invited to bring leaves, beads, feathers, images and other objects for printing and to incorporate into book decorations. Instructor will bring some as well.
All book binding supplies are included in the registration fee.
Bring a bag lunch, and plan to stay for the Field Journal Group to start your new field journal at Cool Spring Preserve!
Please contact Krista Hawley at AdultPrograms@PotomacAudubon.org or 681-252-1387 with any questions you may have.
All fees for this workshop are nonrefundable, expect in the event of cancellation on the part of PVAS.
