The focus of this year will be enhancing the accessibility of the Cedar Loop. This includes removal of existing cedar limbs lining the trail and replacing them with landscape timbers. We want the trail to be as safe and usable to people of all abilities as possible!
Everyone is welcome! No experience is necessary. If you have a little energy and interest we have a task for you!
Lunch is provided (with vegan options) but you are welcome to pack your own food. Please bring a refillable water bottle as we have extra water for refills during the day. Other items you may want to bring include bug spray, sunscreen, long pants, sturdy work shoes, and a hat.
We will have some gloves and tools available, however, if you are willing and able to bring your own, please do. Necessary tools will include heavy duty hammers and power saws. (Please make sure they are marked with your name.)
Can’t volunteer? Consider making a donation towards the supplies necessary to complete the projects!
Contact KC Walters at Katelyn@PotomacAudubon.org with any questions or concerns.
PLEASE REGISTER BELOW SO WE KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE TO EXPECT!
