Join us for the 24th anniversary of This Race is for the Birds!

This year we are again offering in-person event and virtual 5K and 10K events.  All events require registration.  Register by February 28th to guarantee a t-shirt and lower registration fees.

• In-Person 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run:

In-Person events will be held on April 20 at 9:00am at the Broomgrass Organic Farm Community.  Enjoy the adventure of running or walking on non-technical cross-country trails that wind through fields and woods and along beautiful Back Creek.  The events will be held rain or shine.

Interested in walking the 5K in the company of others? Join the group of Wellness Walkers led by PVAS volunteer Ellen Murphy! The group will meet at 8:30 am on race day. Email Ellen at ellen.l.murphy@comcast.net for more information!

• Virtual 5K and 10K Run/Walk/Other:

Virtual participants may choose between running, walking, biking, hiking or another way to complete the distances between now and April 20.  Feel free to get creative!  Participants will then email their results or photos to Race4Birds@PotomacAudubon.org with the subject “My Results.”
