Summer Concert Series

Music in the Cedars PVAS's evening concert series will be back in Summer 2017! Thanks to the work of a dedicated group of volunteers, PVAS will be holding concerts at both Yankauer and Cool Spring Nature Preserves this summer. Stay tuned for an upcoming schedule! If you would like to be involved in the program by coordinating performances or recruiting musicians, please let us know by contacting     Erin Shaw at

Join us for a mellow evening at Yankauer or Cool Spring Preserve to enjoy local musicians' performances. Musicians generously volunteer their time and talent to the event so the public can enjoy the concerts free of charge.

Performances take place from 6:30pm-7:30pm on Tuesdays in August at Cool Spring, and on Tuesdays in September at Yankauer. The concerts are held under Yankauer's open-air pavilion and on the lawn of Cool Spring's natural amphitheater, rain or shine. Guests are welcome to take a hike before or after the music.

Those who attend the concerts are welcome to bring their own picnic suppers, but the preserve does not have trash pickup, so everyone is asked to carry out everything they bring in.

Picnic tables will be available in the Yankauer pavilion on a first-come, first-served basis, as will benches at Cool Spring. At either Yankauer or Cool Spring, concert-goers may also bring their own chairs or picnic blankets for their comfort. We ask that you please leave pets at home.
