Vernal Pools
are habitat for many creatures including frogs and salamanders, but they come and go, depending on the weather.  Usually they are at their peak depth in the spring and host a variety of wetland life.
This event will begin with background information in a classroom setting, they you'll spend the rest of the day visiting 3-4 vernal pools in the Eastern Panhandle area, in and around the Tuscarora Pike area.

We'll carpool for economy.   Dress for outdoor field work and some walking on uneven ground.

Pre-registration is required. Refunds are possible only if the class is cancelled.
