Audubon Discovery Camp For Teens: Outdoor Adventurer

Base fee:
  • This includes a one-year Family Membership in PVAS.

Price: $200 per camper members/ $225 per camper non-members

When: June 19-23, 2017

Ages: 10-13 (entering grades 6-8)

Time: 9:00am–3:00pm

Register early!  Early bird registration fees are available until March 15!

Every day is a different adventure! Learn wilderness survival skills, go caving, bike on the C&O Canal, hike up Maryland Heights, and search for geocaches.  

Parents are asked to drop off and pick up campers at a different location each day:

Monday: Yankauer Nature Preserve -- Wilderness Survival Skills

Tuesday: Yankauer Nature Preserve -- Caving at Whitings Neck

Wednesday: Drop off at small parking lot under Shepherdstown bridge at the C&O canal-- Biking on the C&O Canal

* If you need a bike, we'll try help you find a bike that you can borrow

Thursday: Harpers Ferry Train Station -- Hiking Maryland Heights Trail

Friday: Meet in front of McMurran Hall in Shepherdstown --Geocaching around Shepherdstown

Bring a lunch and a morning snack, sunscreen, and bug repellent.  A waiver is required for caving and will be sent to you by email.

T-shirts must be ordered by May 15 to ensure delivery at camp.  If your child is attending multiple camp sessions, you need to order a shirt only one time, unless you want multiple shirts.
