Learn the basics of digital photography, even if you've never held a camera, or work on your skills if you're already familiar.  Learn how to compose the BEST pictures, master manual lens settings and shutter speeds, then download the images to a computer for editing and manipulation with color and design techniques.  A Nikon 35mm digital SLR camera is provided for your use during the week. You'll keep all your images!  On Friday afternoon, share your best photos for family and friends at your first public artist exhibition!

This session is held at Shepherd University's Contemporary Arts Center (Building 1)  and taught by professional photographers.

  • Non-PVAS members pay the higher price for the first child only.  Other children in your family may be enrolled at the lower price.
  • If you wish to reserve your spot with a $50 non-refundable deposit, please contact Ellen Murphy (Ellen@PotomacAudubon.org) before you register.
  • Bring a lunch and morning snack, water in a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and bug repellent.
  • T-shirts must be ordered by May 15 to ensure delivery at camp.
