Please join PVAS for a private tour of this local research facility operated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The research station conducts a wide variety of basic, applied and developmental research on critical issues affecting major fruit crops grown in temperate climates (apples, peaches, pears, plums, and various berries).  Its work is aimed at maximizing productivity and quality of those crops  and minimizing the adverse effects of pest, diseases, and environmental factors.

This workshop is open to the public, however registration is required.

Please meet promptly at 9:15 a.m in the main lobby.   There is a visitor parking lot in front of the main building about 50 yards from the front entrance door adjacent to the flag pole.

We will start the tour with a welcome address by the station director, Dr. Michael Glenn and proceed on the tour of the laboratory.  We will hear a brief presentation from six selected scientists regarding their research.

For additional information on the Research Station and directions visit the station's website.

Please contact Debbie Maiorano at 540-535-5145 or with any questions you may have.
