Teens, entering 7th grade and older (ages 12-17), who have an interest in working with younger campers and serving as assistants to the camp staff may be selected to work as Junior Staff, either at Yankauer Preserve or the Peter Burr Farm.
All Junior Staff MUST attend training on Saturday, June 6 from 8:30 a.m-4 p.m. at Yankauer Preserve. The training will cover learning about being a camp leader, work ethics, and how to be a great counselor.
Those who register for the training will be sent an information sheet which will provide more background on your experience working with children and preference on camp session dates.
After completing the training, junior staff will be invited to volunteer for a week at camp with the possibility of being asked back for additional weeks. Junior staff positions are limited each week.
Bring a lunch and morning snack, sunscreen, and bug repellent.
Junior staff will be provided with one camp T-Shirt so please do not order one during this registration process (unless you want multiple shirts). We will contact you concerning your preferred size. T-shirts are available in Youth and Adult sizes.
